DIY Car Hire Terms and Conditions
DIY Car Hire acts as a discount broker between you (the client)
and the car rental companies. Your booking is subject to the terms and conditions
of the rental car company or companies with which the reservation is made. For example:
car hire bookings made with Europcar will be subject to the Europcar terms and conditions
at the time of booking.

DIY Car Hire Discounts:
diycarhire.com.au negotiates volume discounts on car hire, and
we pass these savings on to you. To receive the DIY Car Hire
discounts all rental car bookings must be made via the diycarhire.com.au site. This
will ensure that the discount code is inserted into the reservation form for each
car hire company.
Multiple Reservations:
If you wish to hire more than one car, you will need to repeat the reservation process
using our simple
3 step booking form.
Limitation of Liability:
DIY Car Hire, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws
will not be liable for any loss or damages arising out of or in connection with
the use or inability to use the materials, facilities or services offered on this
website even if diycarhire.com.au has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
If this clause is unenforceable in whole or in part under the laws of any jurisdiction
this term may not apply. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Amendments to the Terms and Conditions:
Please check these Terms and Conditions periodically for any changes. The continued
use of the
diycarhire.com.au website following the posting of changes
to these Terms and Conditions (including DIY Car Hire’s Privacy Policy and Customer
Service Policy) will mean that you accept such changes.
Miscellaneous:
This policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the
internet and world wide web and is therefore beyond diycarhire.com.au's control.
These Terms and Conditions contain the full and complete understanding between the
parties and supersedes all prior arrangements and understandings whether written
or oral appertaining to the subject matter of these Terms and Conditions and may
not be varied except by diycarhire. These Terms and Conditions and all representations
obligations undertakings and warranties contained in it shall enure for the benefit
of any successors and assignees of diycarhire. These Terms and Conditions and any
contracts made under them shall be governed and construed in accordance with the
laws of the Commonwealth of Australia whose courts shall be courts of complete jurisdiction.
Optional Excess Reduction Fee:
All car rental companies charge a standard excess when a hire car is damaged. The
amount differs with each company and will normally be advised during the reservation
process. The excess can be reduced to a lower amount by paying an optional excess
reduction fee. For most hire cars, this fee is around $22 to $25 per day.
Payment
The rental amount is payable directly to the car rental company when the vehicle
is picked up. All major credit cards are accepted. Credit card details may be required
to secure the car hire reservation at the time of booking however the amount payable
will not be debited to your credit card until you collect the car and sign the car
rental contract.
Changes and Cancellations
Once a reservation has been made, amendments and/or cancellations are to be made
via the car hire company with which you have a reservation. You will need to quote
your Booking Number to modify or cancel a car hire reservation.
DIY Car Hire does not charge a fee for changes or cancellations, however, some car
hire suppliers reserve the right to charge a fee if car rental bookings are cancelled
at short notice.
Airport Fees
Airport Pickup Fees apply to car rental at most airports in Australia. Airport Fees
are charged by the airport operator, not the car hire company, and can be avoided
by collecting the rental vehicle from a location away from an airport.
